Teaching evaluation for Anton B. Lebedev (detailed)(0,22Mb|June 17th,2011)
As we do not have a teaching evaluation system at the St.Petersburg State University, I had to make a survey myself in order to provide the necessary data. The survey took place from June 13th to June 15th, 2011.
Overall, 131 invitations to participate in the survey were sent out, and as of 1:40 a.m. on June 16th, 2011, 24 evaluation responses were received, 1 person officially declined to respond (18% response ratio). The majority of responses were received on June 13th and June 14th, only 3 responses were received on June 15th.
The selection of the participants was somewhat random: I have sent out invitations indiscriminately to all the students that have contacted me via email or sent a request to "friend" me within a social network (Facebook, Vkontakte) within the 2006-2011 timeframe. The courses given to these students included Economics, Macro, Advanced Macro, St.Petersburg City Economy and Economics of the public sector. Direct questioning was impossible, as by June 13th all the classes and the exams were over. This panel may be well characterized as containing both the students most aspiring (those who had comments or issues or questions after classes) and those whose degree or course works I had supervised. So the panel members either participated deeply in classes, or intensively contacted me after the classes.
The invitation to participate, translated from Russian, is included in the above zip file. The students were asked to provide their name and email for the possible verification, but were given the promise, that their names will not be disclosed in the Internet against their will, and the emails only could be available for the Columbia University or some other educational organization, where I shall apply for a job. If a person would rather hide his or her name from the Internet, then a secret personal code had to be provided instead. Please kindly make a request to obtain the above email list for verification, if necessary.
